For some classy Italian shopping while on your Rome holiday, you may well enjoy Galleria Alberto Sordi. You will discover it on the southern end of Via del Corso towards Piazza Venezia, locate Piazza Colonna with the famous column of Marcus Aurelius as its centre piece and opposite is the beautiful indoor Galleria Alberto Sordi. Originally named the Galleria Colonna it was restored in 2003 and renamed after the much loved Italian actor Alberto Sordi, who died that year.

Over twenty popular and mid-priced stores now reside in the arcade’s interior such as the Spain-based Massimo Dutti, the famous Italian department store La Rinascente, American designer Calvin Klein and the ever expanding multi-storey La Feltrinelli book and music store. The large interior space is also sometimes the site for small exhibitions.

This opulent arcade is a perfect place to come and enjoy a coffee and panini at the indoor cafe after a long day of sight-seeing. The Galleria Restaurant is open from 10am to midnight with different menus during the day it serves an excellent selection of Italian dishes, a wonderful stop on your Rome holiday.

Opening Hours: Most of the stores are open 7 days per week 10am to 8:00pm, La Feltinelli remains open till 9pm and 10pm on Saturday.
